Guardiola: Set to Splash City’s cash?
Pep Guardiola has been named as the new manager of Manchester City, with the Spaniard set to take over from Manual Pellegrini at the end of the 2015–16 season. The former Barcelona and current Bayern Munich manager will be tasked with getting his new club to the heights of European glory – the long-held dream of City’s chairman Sheikh Mansour. Reports are circulating of a £150 million transfer kitty which will be made available, in order to lure the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar or Thiago Alcantara.
